"The City of Medicine Hat announced June 30 that the Lifesaving Society of Alberta and NWT Branch will begin an independent review of the incident at Echo Dale Regional Park that resulted in the death of an 11-year-old child on June 15. The review begins July 2 and includes a documentation review, a site inspection, and interviews with staff. The final report could take up to 60 days. The swim lake at Echo Dale remains closed."
